“I couldn’t save him,” Knockout hissed, hand covering his face as his body began to shake. Miko had always wondered if robots could cry. It mattered very little to her now, as she pressed her body against his quivering leg, “I couldn’t.” He repeated, tone bitter though he struggled to keep the uneven cracking of it to himself. She clenched her eyes, the image of Bulkhead seared into the underside of her eyelids. She breathed deep.
“Yeah,” She whispered, huddling into the cold frame of the medic as it shuddered against her, “Me neither.”
